Making of VRay Interior (gallery of museum)
1. Hi there. When we are making interior scene, walls and floor is first stuff that we create, so here is example of first steps.
2. Now create horizontal and vertical joists as I did.
3. We are now going to create vertical blind window. Here are 3 sub steps. I showed just bottom part that you can see better.
4. Here is better and more correct way to copy objects. First, select window blind and rotate it. Under Tool rollout chose array option and follow parameters from picture below.
5. This is a result you should get.
6. For window modeling I used rectangle shape. Here is a very basic model of it.
7. These days you can’t imagine modern interiors without halogen lights. So, here are two sub steps of halogen model. In first, create tube and sphere in it, and then, in second just scale sphere along z axis.
8. Create two more joints contrary of existing two and copy and place halogen lights on them.
9. We are now going to create ceiling lights. Here is first step. One rectangle shape and box in it.
10. Place sphere into box and with Boolean option cut it.
11. Now create sphere exact like one before and place it in hole that you made. Convert it to Editable Mesh and delete one half of it. Than, apply Shell modifier and place one cylinder into it .That cylinder will present glass of the light. After all this copy light two times to complete object.
12. After some copy work you should get something like this. Create one plane for ceil and using Boolean operations make holes for all lights.
13. In this step segment floor couple of times with cut option, and put 3 boxes that will present gallery pictures on main wall.
14. Now just double all objects without main wall to enlarge room. I put this screenshot to easily explain how materials are made .So, here they are:
Floor-reflection 50 black, glossiness 0.8
Chrome-diffuse 100 black, reflections 210, glossiness 0.85
Walls and window blinder are basic Vray materials without any settings.
15. Create cylinder around room, right click on it and uncheck cast and receive shadows. Apply VrayLight material to it and chose some background image to put in texmap slot, this will be reflection emitter.
16. Create Direct light and copy this parameters.
17. Here are the render parameters.
